Iona

I’m sailing away from the noise and the news,

From grey little days and anxious views.

No internet here, no headlines to read,

Just sky, sea, and time that I truly need.

From England’s clouds to warm Canary skies,

Where sunshine sparkles and worry dies.

On Iona’s deck, I breathe and smile—

The world can wait… I’m free for a while 🌊☀️

Sailing Away with Iona

I pack my dreams in a little blue case,
Wave goodbye to the worried place—
Where headlines shout and screens all glare,
And heavy thoughts fill up the air.

On Iona’s deck, the signal fades,
No buzzing news, no anxious days.
The Wi-Fi sleeps, the world grows small,
Just sky and sea—no doom at all.

From England’s grey and dripping skies,
Past knitted clouds and tired sighs,
I sail toward a warmer hue,
Where sunshine paints the ocean blue.

The Canaries wait with golden light,
Soft salty days and starry nights.
Warm breezes laugh, the palm trees sway,
And all my fears just drift away.

There’s time for joy, for cake, for cheer,
For poolside smiles and mocktails near.
For silly naps and sunsets slow,
And letting the real world go.

So here’s to waves and open seas,
To lighter hearts and quiet peace—
I sail away, and happily,
Become the best, calm version of me
